My heart is broken...

What an inspiring and heroic woman Katie is. Born with a heart block, Katie had her first pacemaker fitted when she was four years old. It meant that there were some things she couldn’t do as a child but she would not be held back, earning a black belt in kickboxing alongside her four sisters. From furloughed to helpers!

Continuing my theme of community spirit stories during lockdown, here is the lovely Sasha and her Doorstep Diaries project. When lockdown brought her career to a pause, Sasha took to the streets near her home (always within one hour’s walking distance, to stick to the rules!) and took portraits of neighbours on their doorsteps.
