About Kim
Phoenix first took flight back in 2007, when I launched the company with a good friend and fellow journalist. The principles on which we built our company were simple: take care of our clients during every step of the process and provide a professional yet personal service. It’s this desire to look after both our case studies (the people with the stories) and our clients (the people buying the stories) that has seen us quickly grow into an established and respected small agency. It’s a reputation we work hard to uphold.

4 Step Process To Selling A Story

1.
We will talk about what your real life story is and which magazines might consider running your feature. The initial chat is informal and there’s no pressure to commit.
2.
Magazines and newspapers are more interested and will pay more money for real life stories if they can be illustrated with great storytelling photos.
3.
Once we have completed the interview, we will pitch your real life story to the media. A ‘pitch’ is an outline of your story. We will liaise with numerous editors to ensure you get the best offers.
4.
We take great pride in making sure that we reflect what you want to say. Before we send the finished feature to the publication, we read it back to you so you can make any last-minute changes.
Latest Stories From Phoenix Features
One of my all time favourite stories here, beautifully laid out in Best magazine. Charlotte took a trip to India to retrace her Grandfather’s incredible journey during World War Two. Charlotte never got to meet Bruno, her grandfather, as he died in combat, but taking this trip helped her feel connected to the great man himself. An inspiring, poignant story to mark Remembrance Sunday this weekend.
